A majestic star in the firmament of the watch scene
Tudor is an independent Swiss watch manufacturer based in Geneva, which, like the luxury watch label Rolex, belongs to the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. The history of the company with the majestic name begins in 1926, when the Swiss watchmaker Philippe Hüther founded Tudor, his own brand in the canton of Neuchâtel. Just ten years later, in 1936, Rolex boss Hans Wilsdorf acquired all trademark rights to Tudor and positioned the watchmaker as a lower-priced sister brand alongside Rolex.
Tudor has become a resurgent star in the firmament of the watch scene, especially in recent years, delighting watch enthusiasts around the world with unerring style, high-quality components and genuine Swiss craftsmanship. Gone are the days when Tudor stood in the shadow of its luxurious sister brand, Rolex. Today, for fashion-conscious shoppers, the timepieces with the royal shield in the logo are a real, more affordable alternative to the watches with the five-pointed crown on the dial.

Confident appearance next to big sister
Despite – or perhaps because of – its own profile, Tudor has always benefited from the expertise and know-how of its big sister Rolex. Nevertheless, the brand presents itself proudly and confidently today with a wide variety of collections – whether modernly designed sports watches or stylishly retro models. Their solid construction is a guarantee for a long service life, low maintenance as well as high value stability. The timepieces of the Swiss watchmaker convince not only with their appealing design, but also due to their diverse functions. Thus, they are particularly appreciated by divers, motor sports enthusiasts and pilots.
Spectacular collaborations and partnerships
Since 2017, Tudor has been cooperating with the Swiss watch specialist Breitling, which is particularly popular among aviation enthusiasts, and uses its chronograph movements in selected models. With innovative ideas in the use of modern materials and the production of new cases, Tudor has repeatedly made a name for itself. The brand also attracts special attention with spectacular partnerships, such as with soccer legend David Beckham and singer Lady Gaga.
