Icons of airship travel for the wrist

Zeppelin, on the market since 2002, is a brand of the Bavarian watch specialist Pointtec, which among other things also successfully sells pilot watches of the Iron Annie brand. Until 2019, it also manufactured exclusive timepieces for aviation pioneer Junkers. All brands not only make the hearts of the global aviation community beat faster with the sound of their names, they also stand for innovation and pioneering spirit, traditional watchmaking craftsmanship, quality and a long service life.

Pointtec is a German medium-sized company, independent and owner-managed. This guarantees the watchmaker the necessary decision-making autonomy and flexibility to respond almost in real time to the needs of its customers. Founded in 1987 in Ismaning near Munich by watch enthusiast and entrepreneur Wilhelm Birk, the company is now represented in around 40 countries and has decades of experience in design as well as in the manufacture of timepieces.

All watches are manufactured by highly qualified personnel in Germany, mostly in the company’s own traditional production facility in Ruhla, a tranquil little town in Thuringia. In addition, Pointtec uses first-class international suppliers, who also provide components to well-known manufacturers of high-priced luxury watches. By the way, the timepieces of the exclusive watchmaker naturally bear the quality designation Made in Germany.

Like the Zeppelin airships, the watches in this collection impress with their technical sophistication and timeless beauty.

Reminiscence of the great time of the airships

The sophisticated Zeppelin collection is a reminiscence of the great days of airships at the beginning of the 20th century. A trip on a zeppelin has always been the most elegant way to travel and has lost none of its fascination to this day. Zeppelins are rigid airships of German production, named after their inventor Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin. They were used from 1900 to 1940, especially for passenger transport. Compared to other types of airships, their success was so great that the term Zeppelin is still used today as a generic name for rigid airships and is sometimes even applied to all types of airships.

Quality timepieces from Germany

Like the Zeppelin airships, Zeppelin pilot watches impress with their technical sophistication and timeless beauty. Like their legendary models, they are synonymous with technical innovation, robustness, quality and reliability. Made in Germany by highly skilled watchmakers, the timepieces impress both friends of historical aviation and collectors with their distinctive design and excellent price-performance ratio. The watches from Pointtec are available in different lines for both men and women. They are powered by automatic, quartz and even solar-powered movements.
