Swiss timepieces with tradition and precision

Davosa is a watch manufacture of the Bohle family company from the small German town of Herford, which specializes in jewelry and watches. The original history of the Davosa brand can be traced back many generations to the past – to be precise, to the mountainous region of the Swiss Jura, which stretches from Basel to Geneva. Here, more than 200 years ago, the art of watchmaking developed. It is mainly farmers who practice this craft during the long winter months to supplement their meager income – among them the Hasler family.

In 1881, the Hasler family began producing small series of silver pocket watch cases with the highest precision craftsmanship. Later, watch assembly was added for a number of other renowned manufacturers. From generation to generation, the outstanding craftsmanship of watchmaking is passed on and developed further. Thanks to the high quality standard of Hasler watches, the company has repeatedly survived economically difficult times unscathed.

Davosa watches are designed for people who want to experience and enjoy moments just the way they want.

After the Second World War, the small watchmaker begins to develop its own creations. The clientele grows quickly. Timepieces from Hasler are sold as far away as the United States. Licensees without their own production also benefited from the services of the fine watch manufactory, now known worldwide. Business flourishes, new markets are opened up, and the company begins to specialize in watches with sophisticated mechanical movements.

In 1987, a collection appears for the first time under the new Davosa brand. The same applies to the new name: every timepiece is made exclusively from high-quality components, is subject to strict quality controls and bears the Swiss Made seal – regardless of whether a quartz or mechanical heart beats beneath the dial.

New collections and innovations continue to follow, the fan community is enthusiastic. Watches from Davosa win prizes, win tests, inspire customers and testers alike – until today. Since the turn of the millennium, the North Rhine-Westphalian watch specialist Bohle has been steering the fortunes of the brand with the compass rose in its logo.
