Rugged timepieces from California for suit and combat use

Sangin Instruments is a microbrand founded in 2016 by former American elite soldier and watch enthusiast Jacob Servantes in El Cajon, California, whose name is derived from the Afghan city of Sangin. Sangin became internationally known when British NATO forces stationed there were surrounded by the Taliban in 2006 and 2007 and attacked in fierce fighting that resulted in losses for both sides.

The Pilot Watch

Sangin’s timepieces are designed as robust mission watches, tough, functional, discreet, yet with a certain elegance about them – chronometers for combat use, but also a convincingly noble statement on the wrist with a suit and tie. The first prototypes – including pilot’s watches, of course – were tested under real conditions on real missions, during shooting exercises, on boats, in the Alps, during parachute jumps and in cockpits.

We wanted a watch that could be worn with a suit, but also on patrol and in combat.

Sangin Instruments

Reliable timepieces for amateurs and professionals

Over the past few years, Sangin has been able to develop a small, fine fan base. The reliable timepieces enjoy a steadily increasing popularity among everyday wearers, collectors as well as in the professional field – pilots, police officers, rescue workers, military personnel. Each chronometer from the small Californian watchmaker is made of high-quality components and undergoes strict quality control before delivery.
